Hello,

Welcome to the Investment House property newsletter for June.

For about six months we’ve been highlighting a noticeable shift in gear within the Brisbane property market, and these more buoyant conditions seem to be gaining momentum.  Recent figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics relating to finance support this conclusion.

In this issue we

  • Uncover a significant change to Brisbane's development regulations. These changes relate to the minimum size of small lots and are almost being introduced by stealth. They could potentially make a lot of money for some, yet cost a lot of money for others - particularly if you are unaware of the impact of the changes.
  • Investigate the latest Brisbane Rental statistics which show just how buoyant the market is.
  • Introduce a recently established local company providing Australian investors with qualified and genuinely impartial investment advice
  • Remind you to make sure your tax variation has been lodged for the new financial year and what to do if you haven’t done so yet
  • Introduce a new report outlining exactly what services Landlords should demand from Property Managers (and how to rate the service your Property Manager is providing)

And keep your eye out for our next bi-monthly issue where we explore the “housing affordability” issue.  It’s interesting stuff and you may find we dispel some myths.

Of course, if you have any specific questions regarding this newsletter and what it means to you, please feel free to contact our team on (+61 7) 3369 0111.
